I am NOT PROMOTING ANY TYPE....I want you to BECOME AWARE OF THE REAL CULPRITS...& SAVE YOURSELF....save yourself from faulty & confusing MEDIA KNOWLEDGE...

If FAST FOOD is giving attack...why do people eat it at all.............????

After a STAGNANT SALE OF NEARLY SEVEN YEARS....

A DIRECTOR of a very HI-FI company, having branches all over india, purchased my book for Rs 2000.

HE is not a heart patient at all.....

     HOW it all BEGAN............


   I started this research mainly to save my OWN life,......... AND..............  to satisfy my own questioning mind.

( Because apparently, I was already implementing all the existing rules of HEALTH ).

Another important reason, was also the fact, that I had No Mediclaim & had already incurred expense of Rs Two Lakhs at BOMBAY Hospital & an ICCU at Borivali.( After my attack on 21 st December 1998 ). ( Which was a BIG SHOCK to me ).


On my release from hospital in first week of JANUARY,1999,I was not given any clear cut instructions on Avoiding  the Recurrence of ATTACK.( While I kept expecting a CLEAR CUT answer on prevention.).


I still shudder to remember those days in the I.C.C.U.


The Hallucinations I had due to the pain relieving medicines injected.

The I.C.C.U attendant collecting additional  and illegal supervision fees ( Rs 1800 ) from us.

I was lying helpless in the bed & in a Total shock as to how come an attack to a very HEALTHY PERSON like me.

(JUST Imagine... Just... a... day... before my attack ,I had walked from NANAVATY HOSPITAL at vile parle to RECLAMATION AREA, BANDRA-WEST,opp LILAVATY HOSPITAL...as per my usual HABIT OF LONG WALKS )

( Nanavaty Hospital I had gone to attend an Enquiry on SOUND PROOFING.&
Lilavaty hospital I had to reach by evening to be with my family to attend  an Exhibition by TIMES GROUP  & where my teenage daughter danced on stage & won some GIFT-HAMPERS & we thoroughly enjoyed the evening..)

( I  have always led a very healthy lifestyle since childhood.)

Here is a little bit of my life story....to give you the right perspective....

( I feel it is compulsory for each writer of health book to inform his own life story to his readers )

So, here it is......

We were staying at VAPI.Gujarat.( 1969 to 1978 )

I used to get up at 5 AM daily.....,do some simple exercises....& then get ready for school'.

( I was exercising  from sixth...... standard....... onwards....... )

( May be the Monkey God " Hanumaan "s picture frame in our kitchen temple was inspiring me to have a body like him..................... )

Then walked 10 minutes to BUS DEPOT....

Then  half an hour's  journey by bus and we reached SMALL DAMAN BUS Depot....


Then....... again Walk 15 minutes..... and we reached DAMAN-GANGA RIVER-Side....


 Then....... take  a boat to opposite side to  BIG DAMAN....


Then....... again Walk  for 20 minutes and atlast  we reached the school...............


           .............."PHEW"............

8 AM was the school time, and we were always  there by 7.45 A.M .

And the same  journey  BACKWORDS when school gets over....

I always reached home by about 3.30   to 4.00 PM..... .

Just imagine this journey...... .on a DAILY BASIS....

I have NEVER EVER MISSED A DAY AT SCHOOl....

During rainy season....the waves in the river were HUGE....the JOURNEY WAS EXTREMELY DANGEROUS...The boats were so FRAGILE...but we never feared....

( Actually...TODAY......... I SHUDDER TO EVEN THINK OF THOSE DAYS.)

(Recently... I went to DAMAN & my School, on 30, January, 2012 and remembered my those days ).

I also had a BICYCLE which I used Extensively..... .

Even went to nearby villages on bike.....I used to do all shopping for the house hold items.

In my S.S.C ( 11 th standard )  ( Year 1975 ) summer vacation we had been to " Matheran Hill Station " near Mumbai....

We went up by Mini Train. BUT, While returning I insisted & alone walked all the way down to NERAL STATION and reached even before my parents reached there by train...


.( My parents, knew that I was ADVENTUROUS )


( Surprisingly, recently, a few years back my daughter went a few steps ahead....

She along with her Xavierite friend's " climbed-up "( Not by the WALKING ROUTE )   Matheraan "at NIGHT" 12 pm onwards and reached the SUNRISE POINT early in the morning at 5 A.M.....

Then ,they moved about in the  matheran market,did some shopping & then walked DOWN in the afternoon, upto the NERAL station. & then to borivali. by local train )


Even in my college days  at Vadodara,I used bicycle extensively & in-fact I started a trend of walking from BOY's HOSTELS to Engineering College CAMPUS via the BEAUTIFULLY FRESH FLOWERING " FAMOUS" KAMATI GARDENS. of VADODARA .

Seeing my ENJOYMENT, even my friends sometimes accompanied me in that journey.

  So , all these reasons motivated me to do this desperate research.....

I continued this MULTI-PRONGED RESEARCH....

 Hot and cold insulation contracts was already my business....

Acoustics was my BRAND NEW " LOVE ".....
 
and NOW THIS NEW.....

I read everything on heart and the whole human body Physiology.....,on food......,attended all related lectures......,plenty of books I Bought.......

In Fact ,the very first day that my resting period was over,( first week of February ,1999 ) I made a journey to ALL  Fort area bookstalls.... and purchased a bag full of various books on HEART by various authors.


Price was NO CONSTRAINT....

MY LIFE was at STAKE....

I already  had a lot of MEDICAL KNOWLEDGE.....

( My grand father was a doctor.......

My paternal uncle is a practicing anaesthetist at RAJKOT. ....

My maternal Uncle is a practicing Doctor at PALANPUR,( M.D from M.S.University, Vadodara........

Today even his son is a doctor ,who has studied at RUSSIA....... ).


So, I started this FRESH research on HEART with a NEW enthusiasm and started reading those books a bit slowly........ and trying to read BETWEEN.... THE ........LINES.


Slowly and steadily I started getting NEW insights on the subject.....

  and by year 2000 when I took up agency for ARMSTRONG Acoustic CEILING TILES, I printed NEW CARDS...... and NEW SHORT ARTICLES ON HEALTH..... for the BENEFIT OF ALL....


Then I started selling an ORAL ADVISE on ATTACK PREVENTION which OBVIOUSLY....... NOBODY....... PURCHASED...........

I distributed hundreds of free leaflets....

kept printing NEW CARDS...., NEW KNOWLEDGE....,etc,& by year 2003...., during a train journey distributing health leaflets, a gentleman talked to me in detail and said that it seems you have tremendous knowledge on health matters......

He advised me not to waste my efforts this way. ........


He told me to write a GOOD BOOK on Prevention.......


This event set me thinking......


I used to write a lot but never as a book.....

( Infact...I thought that since nobody likes to read a book on attack prevention...so best thing is to give correct advise verbally...)

This was somewhere in August ,2003.....

I was quite idle.........& hence ....... kept on thinking about this gentleman's advise.

Finally I thought ,yes, I can do it.......................

First I imagined in my mind how exactly will I begin my Book.......WHAT will be the BASIC THEME........How can it become UNFORGETTABLE for WHO-EVER reads it......

( There are NO PHOTOGRAPHS in the BOOK.......BUT Photographs of myself & my family members right from MY CHILDHOOD onwards till  the day of publishing of the book is there.....)

I am fond of COMEDY, so I thought of introducing this NEW concept in a comic way.





  AN     UNFORGETTABLE     WAY



 I started writing a book on attack prevention advise... .

Introduced a comedy where ever possible. The very thought to START  writing a book cleared up the path.

Things started falling into place.....

I felt as though I was born to write THIS BOOK.

I worked for nearly three months....forgetting all my FINANCIAL PROBLEMS......


The DEVOTION TO THE BOOK WAS TOTAL......


I was thoroughly enjoying this CREATION OF BOOK......


The COMEDY I introduced  was even surprising to me....



A new  &  NEVER BEFORE clarity EMERGED..........



I was going against the EXISTING KNOWLEDGE in some

 ways.......


BUT , I continued  with whatever was in my mind.....

It took me THREE MONTHS to prepare the MANUSCRIPT.....,

 which I gave for DTP work near my home.....

 Finally the entire book was ready in a FLOPPY.....

Now , for printing ,I located a supplier in fort area and initially ordered 50 copies with TRANSPARENT PLASTIC COVER...........

 ( so that my Prospective customers could read the FRONT & BACK of the book & take a decision whether to BUY or NOT.)

I knew I was selling UNUSUAL CONCEPTS of HEALTH.... 


I also constantly wondered who  could help me in promoting the book........


I have GREAT RESPECT for the TATA group companies.......,


which is known for ETHICS in this TOUGH & CORRUPT world....


I felt that If I say something against the usual rules.........


 NOBODY........ would believe it...... .people would say.......



           ( How can a VICTIM teach us........??  )



while if the TATA GROUP declares that



  " HERE..........

  Is  The  CORRECT  WAY..........

  To  FIGHT  HEART  ATTACK.....  "     



I was very very sure that the........


 ENTIRE POPULATION......

 would go for this BOOK.............


This can create an unprecedented health wave in INDIA and even all over the world..............

So , with this aim in my mind....... I was just waiting for the book to be ready......

The book was ready in the last week of December ,2003.....


I collected the 50 copies from FORT AREA and rushed home.....


The very Next day I began early

 I Gave the first copy to the one ....


Who bought it even before publishing....... 


Then I couriered a copy to my Hostel room partner at baroda ( who had visited when I was writing this book & I had promised him a copy )

Then I went straight away to BOMBAY HOUSE, FORT AREA.........

It was on 30, December ,2003.....

I found that Shri RATAN TATA was out of TOWN.....

 Even his secretary was out of office.... .

BUT I was told that  I could leave the books at the " INCOMING COUNTER " on the GROUND FLOOR......

I left Two copies of the book , one for the boss and one for his MALE secretary....


I still have the........


 " RECIEVED STAMP" on my Covering letter....



It was a very very MEANING FULL covering letter...... requesting shri RATAN TATA to read the book thoroughly........ & then decide to publish it....., to help the people of INDIA......

BUT...........Nothing really happened.......

Why would a RATAN TATA read my book.... ????

I was a unknown small fry.....

Gone without any body's reference.....

He has an ENTIRE TATA EMPIRE TO MANAGE.......................

OBVIOUSLY................. a HEALTH BOOK WOULD not have ANY SUCH PRIORITY....



I realised that what I dreamed was not possible.....



It seems to be a beautiful dream that a TRUSTWORTHY INDUSTRIAL EMPIRE GUIDES YOU TO BECOME HEART ATTACK PROOF.....

But in reality nobody has such time....

 Plenty of other things are there to look into.....

So, I did not get any response.I had attached a wonderful covering letter with the book, but to no avail.........

NEXT week when I called on phone I was told by the secretary that many such correspondence keeps happening & it was difficult to TRACE that BOOK NOW....and he guided me , that I should approach TATA Mcgraw Hill Publishers for such book publishing work....



So I sent  a fresh copy of one more book to their DELHI OFFICE....



In the meanwhile I also distributed copies to all leading publishers here in Mumbai....



BUT, one by one....... ,it got REJECTED by the PUBLISHERS..........



I was very surprised..... I was sure they NEVER read the book thoroughly & had no grip on the way a health matter should be treated.....



Since all publishers have already published some or the other  HEALTH BOOK.......so they  must have  just flipped through the book and assumed that this is one more HEALTH BOOK.........




They NEVER understood WHAT the PUBLIC REALLY  NEEDS....




They could not understand their OWN PUBLISHING BUSINESS.....




A bit of slack period in the market also affected the SENTIMENTS of the PUBLISHER'S.

 ( MAY -BE )......

 
This was year ending 2003......All were busy in year end celebrations.

I distributed nearly Twenty  copies to many big shots,but no response.....

Later I distributed a copy each at various bookstalls at some of our Five star hotels

I sold books ONLY in a Polyethylene SEALED CONDITION....

On the front & back of my book I had written.......

 detailed Facts & conclusions.

So my idea was that the buyer should read it....... & if he likes it...... ,he should BUY it.

No book got sold in the five star hotels......... & I decided to withdraw it........

Once, at jaslok hospital I enquired about my book and saw that it was lying deep inside....
 
so I understood that the book stall  owner is not really keen on this book and is not ACTIVELY DISPLAYING THE BOOK.( Even though a copy got sold so FAST )

Jaslok is known for HEART TREATMENTS so if  this book is displayed properly it has to sell......

I was extremely confident about the uniqueness of my book.....

I had collected knowledge for more than four years.....

I wanted a special effort by stall owner to atleast DISPLAY it PROPERLY.....

so that people would have a look at the book & read the ENTIRE FRONT & BACK OF THE BOOK....WHICH WOULD HAVE CONVINCED THEM OF THE UNIQUENESS...and he would buy it for his own benefit....

So,I decided to withdraw the book from there.....

Even at Hinduja hospital where  a copy of book got sold, I saw that my  second book was lying in an opened condition....

 ( somebody must have insisted on opening it & the  poor stall owner obliged.....

 yet this particular customer never purchased.( it happens ....... )

So, I withdrew from there also.....


I had already SELF-PUBLISHED. ........


Now, I decided to sell DIRECTLY to


 CUSTOMERS.........

Mr Gogia is the son of Famous Magician "GOGIA PASHA ".........


and has helped us by giving 14 L.I.C policies & 14 Medi-claim policies for his entire Office staff........


He alloted me a Free Table space to promote my acoustical consultancy....... & ALSO my HEALTH BOOK.........

Finally got it from a vile parle book stall.

she bought it and offered it to him next day and ALSO SHOWED him my BOOK



                He bought both the books.

He had a next day's flight to kenya.

My visiting card always carried the PUBLICITY MATTER of my book......

During  an inquiry on sound proofing and passing through all junior executives.....

 I.......,along with the architect......, finally reached the director.......

I was introduced and I offered my card to him.......

My cards are always unique........


( sometimes FOUR times the size of a normal card )......


 ( I spend a small fortune on my cards,)........



He started reading.......................and continued reading..........never looked at me even once..............



The JUNIORS kept staring.........................



Everybody started wondering...what's happening..........it was really DRAMATIC....


They probably never read what I had written,and were surprised to see their BOSS reading so keenly.................


( I think that's the reason a Boss is a BOSS & Juniors remain Juniors )........................



 ( A THIRST For Knowledge is lacking in Juniors ).



I really thought he will THROW the CARD BACK AT ME......and say..." WHAT IS THIS NON - SENSE "......


He finished reading my card,  in a very cool way...reached for his wallet, took out TWO Rs 500 notes, threw it on table, in front of me & told me  :-

Can you Imagine, I have not talked to him at all......................,



neither has he asked....... ANY.......... QUESTIONS...........!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Neither do I make any special effort to sell.....

Every body has there own FATE....

Recently , even two kg Gold ( Worth Rs 50, Lakhs ) on the body does not help and person dies of attack at just age 46.....


So, friends, such is life.............we want to smash corrupt politicians ...............but can't do anything................. because they are surrounded by  dumb security men....................
While................ , when we see a good man we start doubting............... how can he be  so good in such a BAD WORLD...................



My Encounter with "MTV Bakra"  

" Cyrus  Broacha  "  in one episode .



In may, 2000, I wanted to apply for a passport.....

Hence, early morning I walked from Dadar station  to passport office at worli...

After finishing work I walked back towards bandra....

When I  reached mahim church.... and was waiting at the bus stand wondering whether to continue my walk towards bandra or take a bus....


A posh car stopped right in front of me.....

The dark glasses of front window rolled down........

 and an ABSOLUTELY White Uniformed ,white gloved ,familiar looking chauffeur asked me the directions towards bandra.....


 I guided him thoroughly....meanwhile my mind was trying to place his face....


In a few seconds I recognised.......

It was Cyrus Broacha.....

I had also seen some of his episodes of MTV Bakra....


He now offered to give me a lift.....


 I immediately refused because my plan was to still continue my walk further....

But the very next instant I said yes to him and he opened the front door.


then started an interesting episode which is described in the book, in my life story.................

 I had Tried  all the well known  publisher but the book was returned.

( I doubt whether the book was read properly.)

Then one fine day ......... I got a call from a well known....,experienced ....., Publisher..... ,near sion.........,saying he has read my book .....( which I left at his office in his absence....)


Its a  " NEVER BEFORE "   book......


 and told me to be ready for publishing..... with anything else which I would like to add in the book...

He said he will PUBLISH THIS BOOK......

He was going to his bangalore branch office for a week  & will call me when he comes back...........


( Can You all Imagine my Happiness.....???????)



No words can describe the THRILL...which I Experienced.......



ULTIMATELY...MY BOOK WAS TO BE PUBLISHED..... 



 I was asked to submit the Floppy to their printers office....



I submitted floppy to the Printer's Office at andheri.( Near SEEPZ )



Time passed by.............. No reply came....

I also have a LAID-BACK attitude to such matters.............and prefer to wait patiently..............

 I thought I was in Queue of writers....... , as told by the printer....


Plus a BUSINESS SLACK time was going on.................Recession was going on....................( Effect of  9/11  )...........................


Then after a few months..... Suddenly one day I saw the OBITUARY of that PUBLISHER ( AGE 52 ) in...........

 "The Times of india".....................Died of sudden attack................



  I under stood that MY TIME is NOT YET RIPE.
Meanwhile, I continued to sell the SELF- PUBLISHED BOOK.

Sold about 45 copies in a most thrilling way.................Gifted twenty copies to  various people......................

Slowly.............. I Jacked up the price,stagewise  from a LOWLY   Rs 180  ( Cost Rs 80 + Profit Rs 100 ).to........... 300......,500,........1000,........ to Rs 2000 NOW. )

It was a FUTILE EFFORT to help People.

In Fact.........

,I sold more books....................

 at a HIGHER PRICE 
At LOWER PRICE people thought I was some FLY-BY-NIGHT operator.....


Intelligent people bought it instantly by reading my publicity leaflet....

While people at Lower level kept doubting...................

My book sale is ON, but I don't insist on any body....

My leaflet " SILENTLY " informs him about the book....... That's all..................

It is UPTO HIM to BUY OR NOT.....

I have prepared special health bulletins on E-Mail & also printed leaflets & distributed to people from all  walks of life.....

Now , I have stopped all this.

All this I am writing just to inform you about my nature of investigating a subject.

I continued executing contracts and consultancies till around 9/11 happened.

The slackness in the market affected me. Even if I quoted a LOWEST POSSIBLE price I could not get a contract.( May be, my LOW price was shown to somebody else and told that why not you do at this price.....).

This continued for nearly two years.....

I decided to STOP contracts & continue with


         ONLY ACOUSTIC CONSULTANCY.

 This was around the end of year 2004.




Now,something about the Book ,



I will keep adding as time passes ( 21 - July -2011 ).
My attack lasted hardly 20 seconds.........,

BUT made me alert to the subject  for a life-time.........

I got attack because of our very deep family heredity.( plenty of my close relatives are gone, due to attack.) and the age of occurance is reducing now........

It will be very appropriate to mention details of my very dynamic father who died at just age 50. due to sudden attack.


so, here it is :


we had just shifted to mumbai,andheri west in 1978.

In 1979 ,My grand father ,who was a doctor with a govt hospital , died at andheri east,at age 68, due to sudden attack.

My father,age 23, after completing B.Sc  in year 1959,went to LONDON by a steamer ( A JOURNEY OF ONE MONTH ),
for a degree in chemical Engineering.

Stayed throughout for FOUR years and returned in 1962.

His first and also his last job was with " ATUL DRUG HOUSE LTD " KANDLA, Kutch, Gujarat. ( 1962-1969 ).

Then he was promoted as project manager to install NEW PLANT at VAPI. ( 1969 - 1978 ).

I had never seen him ill anytime at all....

He made a 15 days foreign business trip to germany, france,etc,etc,

Then he got promoted to Mumbai H.O ( 1978 onwards )...

.Made one more business trip to Germany, London, etc.

 In 1979,he developed some B.P problems and was advised YOGA.

He joined KAIVALYADHAM at charni road to learn yoga....

we were at andheri west .He would leave early by car.

Go to yoga institute.......learn......, practice...... & then proceed...... to office just opposite churchgate station

At home he brought plenty of good books on health.

I was still studying in third year of mech engg at Baroda.....

I was always fascinated by my DYNAMIC dad's activities....

I always tried to read whatever books he bought....

He had a huge collection of books on personality , management,technical books,and now health books....

I saw father practicing what we today call it as kapaal bhaati etc,etc,and many other yoga Asanas .

I also read almost all books.and started practicing yoga on my own at the hostels at vadodara., etc etc.

The books on food hardly made any sense to me.....

 We had started  using " SAFFOLA "oil now.

In 1981 we shifted to BANDRA _ EAST..

Father had become very dynamic now.....

Plenty of early morning flights to Delhi, Vadodara, Vishakhapatnam, Chennai,etc.for company work.

I used to drop him to the Santa Cruz airport in our car early in the morning....and come back alone...( Those days Taxi's were difficult to get...)

He also did plenty of small management courses at various well known institutes including IIM...,AHMEDABAD, NITIE- POWAI, TATA's- PUNE...etc,etc.

In 1982 he made one more, his " FOURTH " trip to JAPAN and nearby countries.

We all were always well dressed because of imported dresses,he used to get for us..

Father was handsome and dynamic in his designer rich suits.

He was the EPITOME  of GOOD HEALTH and DYNAMISM in our house.

I was too dull and quiet compared to him and was always in AWE of him.

I was in my THIRD job at BEARDSELL INSULATION LTD.

I was also working very hard....

My interest in health matters was also great....

I bought plenty of books on food, vitamins, physiology,cookery,liquors,etc,etc....

I was very very curious about food and went into great details....

Never knew anything about HEART ATTACK.....

I read plenty of medical books also  but nothing made sense to me.....

( Now , I feel unless you experience attack YOURSELF.... one cannot learn anything. unless the book is good enough.......... like what I have written ).


And Then It Happened


13 - june, friday 1986, father got into mild discomfort,  admitted in a clinic at Bandra west & expired by late afternoon.

He was a teetotaller....

 pure vegetarian....,

Doing regular yoga....,( Exactly what you see Baba Ramdev practicing on TV,)etc,etc.


I had never seen him ill.............and yet..........this had happened.

Till today it remains a mystery for me..............

May be this is what we call as HEREDITY................

BECAUSE even my MILD ATTACK is a MYSTERY FOR me...............
